When starting a new piece, I usually begin with a sketch or a series of sketches.  Whether inspired by abstraction, nature, a narrative, or a whim, my objective is to draw the viewer into the contained spaces my work defines.  Compelling imagery, thoughtful design, quality materials, and expert craftsmanship are the essential elements of each piece I create.
